Two women with very different life experiences, left the UK, used the skills they had in their CV and never looked back.
Amie dropped out of college and ended up working for TUI as a holiday rep in Magaluf. Sun, chaos, and learning how to manage people she'd never met. It wasn't exactly a career plan, but whilst everyone was getting drunk at freshers she fancied skipping country and doing life her own way.
Then came the call centre. A job she hated, a boss she couldn't stand, and a growing feeling that there had to be something else. She didn't know what she wanted but she knew she wanted freedom.
So she became a Virtual Assistant, learned everything there was to know about building a business and soon became a business manager herself which led into becoming a consultant.
Agency of 10 people, consulting in huge team set ups and helping freelancers move into their next season all whilst building a team of brilliant people around her. Birch & Louise was that team, with her business partner Charlotte.

Hi, I'm Charlotte. I spent 5 years at university studying courses I enjoyed but couldn't see a future in. I didn't know what I wanted, but the feeling of wanting more from life never left me.
In late 2022 I quit my office job and started freelancing as a Social Media Manager and Virtual Assistant. Finally I was working on my own terms, from anywhere in the world, not trapped in the 9 to 5.
In early 2024, my partner Dan and I left the UK to live and travel in SE Asia full time, with my business supporting us both. I niched down to VA work and built a personal brand around being a digital nomad, even creating a course to help others do the same.
Then I spent a few months in Bali with my friend and client Amie. Our visions lined up, so we built something we could scale together: Birch & Louise, and The Diary of a Digital Nomad.
6 months in Bali. 3 months in Thailand. The odd ski trip in Japan or South Korea. Back to the UK for summer. We're always chasing the sun.
People think this is so out of reach but the reality is 2 x £1,000 retainer clients can have you living this lifestyle.
You don't need to learn a new skill. You need to package up the skills already sitting in your CV and sell them to businesses. That's it. The skill isn't the hard part and nobody tells you that.
Everyone teaches you how to be the thing. Nobody teaches you the 100 other things it takes to actually run a business. We teach you that side. The side that's really going to have you leaving the UK and building a business you love.
We made every mistake over 7 years so you don't have to. The feast and famine cycles, the undercharging, the clients who took advantage. We've been there. Now we show you the shortcut.
